ELISSA PELLING
Since graduating in 2009 I have worked with women and couples in the area of reproductive health and wellbeing. Over the years I have gained experience, learned from other practitioners, mentors and my clients, embraced and enjoyed helping couples to conceive, and women to manage pain and period problems, alleviate pregnancy discomforts, and ease transition experienced in menopause.
It was through my own experience of having a complicated first pregnancy and birth, and then having my heart opened by my new role as a mother, I developed a keen and committed interest in women’s reproductive health, natural fertility, IVF support, postnatal care and pregnancy.
I graduated from Victoria University with an Honours degree in Chinese Medicine, I'm a member of the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA), CMBA (Chinese Medicine Board of Australia) and our peak professional association, AACMA (Australian Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Association). In addition to these qualifications in both Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal medicine, I completed training as a Birth Attendant with Rhea Dempsey, Natural Fertility Education, have completed training in Acupuncture for pregnancy, Shonishin (non-penetrative children's acupuncture), and cosmetic acupuncture.
